Your timeline is stored on your Mac. Choose Claude Code or Codex CLI for analysis through an existing account, and pause capture whenever it should stop.
Selected AI providers process relevant activity information. Optional hosted features, including Cloud Wiki, have cloud storage boundaries. Review those choices against the requirements of your work.

What does Dayflow help me understand?

How are the recap numbers calculated?
Recaps summarize recorded activity into durations, category totals, and top apps. They describe the captured record, not a measured increase in productivity.
Does Dayflow take actions for me?
Chat is read-only. It helps you inspect and understand activity, rather than changing files or sending messages.
Where does the timeline live?
The activity timeline is stored on your Mac. Relevant information goes to your selected AI provider for analysis.
What about hosted features?
Optional hosted features can upload screenshots or use cloud storage. Cloud Wiki includes a local offline mirror.
